A RaidProtect alternative: when to switch, and when to stay

RaidProtect is one of the most widely installed French security bots. The right alternative comes down to one question: do you want a better anti-raid, or one bot that also replaces all the others?

Transparency: this comparison is published by Orius, the publisher of OriusBot. The information on RaidProtect comes from its official site and documentation, checked on November 6, 2026. Offers change: check before you decide.

What is the best RaidProtect alternative?

OriusBot is the RaidProtect alternative to pick if you want one free bot covering anti-raid, captcha and anti-nuke, plus tickets, leveling and Twitch alerts. If anti-raid is all you need and RaidProtect works for you, switching will not gain you much.

What RaidProtect does well

Active since 2018, RaidProtect claims more than 400,000 protected servers. At that scale its defences have faced real attacks, a genuine advantage that a younger bot does not have.

Why people look for an alternative

Three reasons come up, and none is a quality problem:

"Not advertised" means absent from the official pages we read, not necessarily missing.

When to stay on RaidProtect

When OriusBot is the better choice

Moving from RaidProtect to OriusBot with no protection gap

  1. Note your settings: captcha role, verification channel, thresholds, log channels.
  2. Add OriusBot and place its role above the roles it must manage. Basic protection turns on as soon as it joins.
  3. Run /setup, then adjust /anti-raid.
  4. Run /audit to check permissions and role hierarchy.
  5. Turn off the old bot's captcha and anti-raid before enabling them on the new one: two bots punishing the same newcomer means double kicks.
  6. Test with a second account, from the invite through to channel access.
  7. Remove the old bot, then check that none of its roles remain above the others.

Frequently asked questions

Is RaidProtect free?

RaidProtect can be added without paying, and it offers a paid plan that raises module limits and allows bot customization. Details can change, so check its official site.

Can I keep RaidProtect and OriusBot together?

Yes, as long as only one handles each function. For example, keep the captcha on one and use the other for tickets and leveling. Two bots acting on the same sanction produce duplicates and unreadable logs.

Is OriusBot in English?

Yes. OriusBot is built and published by Orius in France, and the bot, web panel and documentation are available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Should I change bots after a raid?

Not necessarily. First check that the bot had its permissions and that its role was high enough, the most common cause. Our guide on what to do after a raid lists the checks.
